Wind blue rotor is a permanent magnet rotor that starts charging at very low RPM.. Wind Blue….they are on ebay if you need the parts they also have the regulator.

It is probably the fact that a GM alternator doesn’t start charging tell about 1000-1200 rpm. This will have to be altered to start charging at around 200 rpm. cost would probably around 500.00 bucks or less.

something tells me you should round the corners with about a 1 inch radius. Correct me if I am wrong but don’t the sharp corners create a little drag???

It looks like you have a steady supply of wind.

Have you measured how many watts the device generates at various speeds?

As cool as this device is, I’m thinking it is not really cost efficient unless you have a heck of a lot of wind all of the time.

You dont explain why you need to modify the alternator. It works with 12V allready by default. Why modification?
