I have a couple AC … I have a couple AC carcasses out back ready for the scrap yard, I’m gonna do a little work first!! Thanks!! Maybe I can even get it documented and post the results…
The point of the video is to get people to focus on objects around us, not to say that a 14″ squirrel cage will outperform a 50′ VAWT. The bigger fan I have cost $1 at a yard sale. I have some videos in action soon. Your comment was the perfect answer:-) Thank you again.

Is she asking you to buy anything = no. Is she saying that you have to watch this video = no. Are you an ungrateful, moaning, no-neck whelp who thinks the world owes him/her something, and even if the ‘something’ was served to you for free, when you wanted, every time you wanted it, AND with a cherry on the top, would you complain? Three guesses to the answer on this one folks!
Some people eh. Get a life mate, stop whineing about info given freely.
In this matter … In this matter you’re completely wrong. The alternator is the most difficult to find on a junkyard, what kind of alternator should i use? What is the windspeed in my area? the savoniusrotor doesn’t give more than 10% of the total windpower. That “FANCY” design is develloped to get more out of the wind(lower prices per kW)is more quiet and can be used in different positions.By the way the design is not fancy,it’s based on the Gorlov turbine.
This size will not … This size will not do much (30 watts in strong wind), it is more of a demo for building larger models. If you had several, you could get some usable power with the right wind. Especially considering many end up in scrap yards every day. There are much larger versions out there already made and with a combination of energy conservation and proper design, they can replace a certain level of grid power. Thank you for the comment.
I’m not the kind of … I’m not the kind of person who can do mechanical things. That said is there anyone who hooks up these windmills to supply electricity to homes? I would like to have this type of windmill for my home.
Hi,
If you have 10 … Hi,
If you have 10 MPH wind, I would say at least 4′ x 4′ to be somewhere in there. I will be making a big one in a video soon. several of these smaller ones with the right generator and wind will also work. Thank you for the nice comment.

Dan, you do a great …
Dan, you do a great job, but your wife is definitely cuter!
Are you generating …
Are you generating any useful amount of power? If so, what are you using it for?
Creative, but these just aren’t designed for catching the breeze. These are designed for big pressure differences.
Danke schön

Thanks for the video! Great!

I’m a conservative …
I’m a conservative and a non environmentalist but this thing is cool. Like the idea!
If we could charge batteries all day and use low power led fixtures at night.
I’ve got a few …
I’ve got a few films tackling various issues on wind power…
And please do pass the link around
I love this kind of …
I love this kind of video.. it opens one’s mind. they make great water wheels too.
The other projects …
The other projects about solar energy are interesting but this demo is incomplete and waste of money and time.

I have a bigger one …
I have a bigger one, it turns a drill gear with a motor attached and produces 11.2v w 1.3A in 15 MPH wind. It is 2x this size.
That’s not a wind …
That’s not a wind turbine, can hardly charge a few nicad batteries.
I have seen better from them.
Yes, but these are …
Yes, but these are in scrap yards everywhere.
needs very little …
needs very little wind speeds ? there was quiet a breeze during the whole clip.
Other designs can do better than this.
She speaks so …
She speaks so clearly, and she has such a nice … err .. chest area. Oh, and the wind turbine is swell too!
I don’t think that …
I don’t think that was the point of the video.

In slide 0:59, does anyone know where I can find more information about this particular turbine?
